Welcome to The Austographer's website. My name is Andrew and I originally began The Austographer (Australian Photographer) as a means to display my love of all things photography.

I've always been fascinated in the imagery of life. To be able to capture something in an inspiring way is a hobby I've enjoyed developing over the past few years. Through much support and encouragement from my friends and family, I've decided to showcase my work online - via my own website.

 

Born in Australia, and growing up on the Gold Coast, Queensland, I was spoilt with beachside living most of my life. My teenage years were spent in the ocean as a bodyboarder; however these days, when in Australia, I find myself spending much more time on shore behind a camera. Although I began photographing the Australian coastline, I now enjoy photographing the beauty that can be found here in Canada. Why do I now reside here you might ask? Because of my beautiful and encouraging wife Shannon, a Canadian, whom I met travelling back in 2011.

 

As for the name 'The Austographer'? Well, as an Australian born photographer, it just made sense!
